Resilience
I used to believe we were born resilient. That somehow we were biologically entitled to it. I don’t believe that anymore. Rather, I think we learn it, we share it. Resilience is essentially the ability to recover. To bounce back after adversity, to heal, to integrate that experience and, ultimately, to make meaning out of it. It’s a process, not an instance.
